Kylee asks…
Why do the divisions below the Premier League have play-offs for the final promotion slot?
Hull City finished in third place in the Championship, so surely they should get automatic promotion. Why is it that the the team that finishes an average SIXTH gets to contest the third promotion slot? The same goes for Doncaster Rovers in League One and Stockport County in League Two – they ought to get automatic promotion…

admin answers:
I agree. I think that the playoff system is unfair to the third placed team. It gets more like America every day. Money….Money…..Money. The next thing will be franchises so teams can buy their way into the premier.

Marie asks…
Will Notts County get promoted to League one?
In your opinion will Notts County get promoted to League one in the next few years?
Also where in League Two do you think they’ll come this season?

admin answers:
I hope they do, especially since they signed Russel Hoult, the Legend. I believe they will come 12th this season and then maybe just make/miss out on the play-offs next year. The oldest club in the football league will hopefully keep their record going.

thanks for pointing out gillingham 6th and 8- Lincoln to finish 9th-
fixxup- i havent been smoking anything, as much as i hate paul simpson- they have grant holt and richard walker up front, micheal jackson in defense and a pretty decent midfield, a far stronger team than what they had last year, all due to the amount of money they now have
J connor- win the league? keep dreaming!
Tah for Ciaran Toner-hope he bags a hat-trick againt you next season
good luck for next season by the way, loved the trip down to grimsby last season, and now i cant wait ’til august 9th
all the best
lincoln to finish 8th

admin answers:
I love all football but don’t see much league 2. I am a Villa fan.
Though what I do know is Shrewsbury have made a few big signings and should go up. Wycombe have a good squad and this could be there year. Brentford and Bradford have had there one season to settle in now they can progress.
Bournemouth nearly pulled off another miraculous escape last season and I would love them to take encouragement from it though for next season I think midtable or play off if lucky.
As for Relegation 30 point deduction is not a good start for Luton! But I think they will stay up.
I think Notts County, Exeter and Morecambe will get relegated. Port Vale I actually think may struggle despite there high expectations.

Steve asks…
four managers that have won the english league with two different clubs are:
nobody answered this question and even a BBC website that there was only 3!
TOM WATSON
SUNDERLAND 1891-92, 1892-93, 1894-95
LIVERPOOL 1900-01, 1905-06
HERBERT CHAPMAN
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 1923-24, 1924-25
ARSENAL 1930-31,1932-33
BRIAN CLOUGH
DERBY COUNTY 1971-72
NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1977-78
KENNY DALGLISH
LIVERPOOL 1985-86, 1987-88, 1989-90
BLACKBURN ROVERS 1994-95
MICHAEL D wtf? what are you on about lets get something clear, winning the league means being champions of the top flight, the premier league is division one just with a different name and the english league refers to both, so Kenny Dalglish does count!

admin answers:
Good answer (technically not a question). I always thought there were only 3, as there is no mention of the feat being achieved before Herbert Chapman.

Kirstie asks…
Why is there a rivalry between Leeds United and Man Utd?
They seem to enjoy singing insulting songs about each other. But they are in two different counties. Does anyone know the story behind it?
And is it true Leeds fans supported Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League Final?

admin answers:
The rivalry originates from the strong enmity between the historic counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire that resulted from the Wars of the Roses, which took place during the 15th century. Although the cities of Leeds and Manchester lie over 40 miles (64 km) apart, the tradition is upheld and this strong feeling can still be seen between the two clubs. Independent research by the Football Fans Census has shown that, within English football, both Leeds and Manchester United are ranked within the top three clubs based on the number of clubs that consider them to be their rivals.
There you go mate
and yes
to a certain extent they would have as it was against man united.
